1. North Beach (Idaho Side)
This popular spot stretches along the northern shoreline and offers wide, shallow waters perfect for kids and paddle sports. Parking can fill up fast in the summer—arrive early or secure a reservation, especially on weekends and holidays.
2. Rendezvous Beach (Utah State Park)
Located on the lake’s southern edge, Rendezvous Beach is a family favorite with full facilities and shaded picnic areas. It’s a great place for a long beach day. Plus, the views from here at sunset are unreal.
3. Garden City Park Beach (Utah Side)
This easy-to-access public beach is right off Bear Lake Blvd in Garden City. It features a playground, grassy areas, a walking path, and picnic tables. Beach access is free, however, you will need to haul your beach equipment the short distance down the boardwalk to the beach.
4.East Beach (Idaho Side)
The less-developed east side of the lake offers a more quiet experience. This beach is normally one of the last one's to fill up and offers some grassy areas as well as sandy beaches.
5. Ideal Beach Resort

The Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation has acquired 28 acres on the lake’s west side, adding 1,200 feet of future shoreline access. While this new public beach is in the works, no official timeline for its opening has been announced.
